#MBI2017 Prize Shortlist Announced

The 2017 Man Booker International Prize shortlist of six books which celebrates the finest works of translated fiction from around the world was announced last night.

Each shortlisted author and translator receives £1,000. The £50,000 prize for the winning book will also be divided equally between its author and translator.

Black Moses by Congolese-French author Alain Mabanckou, the only book with African ties on the longlist, has unfortunately not made the cut.
