Tannella Boni born 1954 (if we are to believe Wikipedia this days..lol) is an Ivorian poet but most importantly novelist of note who was born in Abidjan but did her advanced studies in France. She became a professor of philosophy at the University of Abidjan  where she also writes poems, novels, short stories and the like.

She was instrumental to organizing the Abidjan’s International Poetry Festival (1998 – 2002). In 2005, she received the  Ahmadou Kourouma Prize for her novel Matins de couvre-feu.
